Program Evaluation Group

Program Evaluation Group
PARTNERING WITH YOU TO MEASURE WHAT MATTERS

MISSION
Program Evaluation Group (PEG) partners with public and private organizations to provide evaluation training, consulting and data services.
CENTERING EQUITY

As social work evaluators, we believe that evaluation and evaluative work should be in service of equity in process and purpose. We believe that evaluation must first be situated in structural, systemic, and root cause contexts. We are committed to evaluation approaches that strengthen social justice outcomes by meaningfully engaging diverse stakeholders, and by prioritizing the lived experiences of participants/beneficiaries in every phase of evaluative work from design to dissemination. We are committed to an asset-based approach to inquiry and analysis, to culturally relevant practice, and to the relentless pursuit of our own continuous improvement in equitable evaluation practices.
APPROACH
PEG’s collaborative and equitable evaluation approach fosters a culture of learning. Our evaluators follow these key practice principles:
  • Honor and make use of pre-existing data and the work of others.
  • Integrate quantitative data with qualitative data.
  • Value the authentic voice of our partners as experts in the work.
  • Contribute to emergent work by supporting a strong and shared line of sight and freedom to experiment.
  • Develop ways to return learning to the system (Fourth Quadrant Partners).
  • Engage a diverse group of partners to ignite innovation, design, and problem solving.
  • Keep an eye toward community-level and systems-level change with all of our efforts.
IMPACT
Over the past nine years, PEG's efforts have resulted in new relevant program designs, improved access to services, integration of best practices and evidence-based interventions, improved participant outcomes, community change, and improvements in evaluation capacity.
