Text4dad

Dr. Shawna J. Lee and her research team developed a peer support text messaging-based program called Text4Dad which aims to improve father engagement in our Healthy Start Engaged Father home visitation program for low-income fathers. Text4Dad allows mentors to send tailored text messages to fathers. The team has engaged in extensive acceptability and usability testing of message content. Currently, several Healthy Start Engaged Father program sites are pilot testing the Text4Dad program.
